Interpretation Texts
The headings on the left show the text panels that introduced each of the five sections of the exhibition as well as the individual object labels for the works exhibited. Authored by Sarah Cook together with the team at Somerset House, these texts provide the overarching narrative of the exhibition.
Each section of the exhibition could standalone thematically, but together led the visitor on a journey illuminated to suggest a moonlit sleepless night, seemingly endless digital screen-time, a working day, and a communal (no-screens) late afternoon/evening.
Additional commissioned works were installed in areas outwith the main gallery space, across the site of Somerset House, including in a library at the end of the exhibition. The object labels for some of those works are included here below.
